Keighley Police Museum

In the heart of Keighley town centre lies Keighley Police & Forensic museum, which was a fully operational police station and magistrates court dating back to 1831. For almost 200 years this site has held some of West Yorkshire’s merciless criminals and the walls have been witness to some brutal assaults. Many of the museums workers have reported feeling very uneasy in certain parts of the building, dark shadows have been seen and the sound of falling keys are heard on a regular basis in the police station itself. Certain area’s of the museum often leave people with heavy feelings of oppression to which they will not enter alone. The horse drawn black mariah has been restored to its former glory after being found in a field. This has also been seen to move on its own.
